YTV is a Canadian television company. Founded in 1989, the network was created to be the Canadian equivalent to Nickelodeon, offering all-day programming for children. This included being the network that would air programs from American stations like Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network throughout the 1990s. Among many of the television shows to air on the network, YTV would also air Goosebumps, both throughout its initial run of 1995-1998 and for several years after, even re-airing the show every few years around Halloween time.
Promotions and tie-ins[]

Throughout its initial run, Goosebumps would have multiple promotions and contests. Most famous of these would be during the once-annual "Dark Night" marathons during Halloween, which would air multiple horror-based shows, including Goosebumps. These airings would feature contests in which the lucky caller to answer the questions during the contest would receive a Goosebumps prize pack which would include merchandise like the Goosebumps Inksters, board games and more.
Another promotion would have YTV work with Kentucky Fried Chicken to provide Goosebumps books for a limited time in 1996. Four books were available with the promotion, Monster Blood, Ghost Beach, Revenge of the Lawn Gnomes and Night of the Living Dummy III. Each would be available for $1.99 with any meal purchase. Each would also feature a white "Watch it on YTV" logo featuring the YTV skull on the cover.
YTV would also feature briefly in the Goosebumps TV show itself when footage from the game show "Uh-Oh" was featured in the episode "Click."
YTV Book ISBNs[]
The front and back cover of each book with the YTV logo had a different ISBN than the regular books. Meanwhile, the copyright page retained the original book's ISBN, suggesting the content was no different from the original.
