History[]
As a teen, Victoria, Nora Parker, Eliza Etten, Sarah Stokes, and Ben Howard befriended Harold Biddle, who had just moved to Port Lawrence with his parents. Sarah in particular was very close with him. However their relationships were strained when Harold found Slappy the Dummy in his basement and began taking him to school. This reached a head when, during a performance, Slappy insulted them using things that they'd shared with Sarah in confidence. Harold said it they were really secrets, Sarah shouldn't have told him. Nora, who had told the others that she'd seen the dummy moving on its own, said the dummy was clearly evil and influencing Harold. They decided to try to save him by taking the dummy. They broke into his house and Ben found Slappy and put him in the case. Then Sarah said they needed to save Harold. They tried to get him to accept their help, but he fell down his basement stairs, starting a fire and forcing the other teens to flee. Once they were outside, they decided that since Harold was already dead, there was no reason for them to say anything and they agreed never to speak about that night again. When Slappy popped out of the case, Ben broke him into pieces. Then they decided to bury it in Eliza's father's mine.[1]
Victoria was angry when she learned her daughter, Isabella, had taken her husband's drone to school and it had gotten broken. Even though Isabella said a classmate had broken it, Victoria held her responsible because she'd taken it without permission. She grounded Isabella and took her phone and laptop.
When Victoria got called into work, she left her kids home alone. During this time, their house was trashed and when Victoria learned Isabella had done it, she forced Isabella to come with her when she met with Ben Howard, Nora Parker, and Eliza Etten at Eliza's house. At the meeting, Nora said she believed Harold Biddle was back and taking revenge on them by attacking their children. The other three didn't believe her and implied that she could lose custody of Lucas if she kept talking about it.[2] The adults ran into the house when they heard Isabella screaming and found her covered in slime. James appeared and said it was a practical joke gone wrong, despite Isabella saying James had splattered all over.[3]
Soon after this, Victoria asked Isabella if she'd apologized to Eliza, but Isabella said there was nothing to apologize for. Later, when Mike Hodgson brought Nora to the psychiatric facility Victoria works at because she'd claimed that worms attacked her at the sawmill and it was connected to Harold Biddle, Victoria told him he'd done the right thing and they'd take care of her.[4]
When Sarah came back to town, she confronted Victoria about drugging Nora. Victoria defended her decision, first saying that Nora was having a nervous breakdown and then saying she couldn't let Nora ruin the lives they'd built for themselves.[5]
