HONORABLE MENTION: One Night in Payne House[]

Gyg se4

This was going to make the list, before I decided that GYG books and short-stories wouldn’t be counted. So, I made this a honorable mention. Very scary, but also a very fun GYG book. It’s gimmick is that you can choose three items at the beginning, and there’s only one good ending. The book has 135 pages to explore, fight beasts, draw a map (map is on page 57, I might show a picture), and escape Payne House! Overall a very good but very hard to find GYG Special Edition book, and I would recommend it anyone who collects Goosebumps books, edits this wiki, or has lots of spare time. Now, let’s get to the list.

10: Invasion of the Body Squeezers (Part 2)[]

Invasion of the Body Squeezers; Part 2 (Cover)

Part one wasn't anything special, as most say. But this book was amazing! The rest of the story of the aliens' invasion was amazing, and also containing many cliffhangers, some meaning something, or some not. And (SPOILER) the part where it is revealed that Mr. Fleshman is revealed to be the Body Squeezers' leader.

9: Cry of the Cat[]

Cry of the Cat (Cover)

A great way to start out the new(ish) wave of Goosebumps books. It wasn't hyped up so much for no reason! The episode was just as good. Even though the plot was almost completely different than the original. In my opinion, nothing like it really appeared in Goosebumps ever again. Nothing could do what this book did.

8: The Haunted School[]

The books near the end of the Original Series feel a bit more scary than ones before it. The book actually became scary around chapter 10 or 11. When the elevator Tommy was in started going sideways, rather than up of down. Probably one of my favorite scenes from this book was when Tommy shocked the insane kids by lightning those dead leaves. It's on exactly page 100, when chapter 25 started.

7: Slappy's Nightmare[]

Said to be really rare, but I managed to get a copy. Only, it's from the UK. Same text, just a different. I understand it though. Aside from me owning the UK print of the book, the book became progressively darker. The second chapter started off kinda funny, with the first joke Slappy made. Then everything started to spiral downward. Mainly starting when (SPOILERS) Georgia's room was by Wally. Then going further down, when Maggie broke her arm, and Slappy's first attempt to kill Stella. Eventually, when Georgia performs with Slappy, Slappy walks away from Georgia's grasp, and finds Wally, and creates a large fight, which ends in Slappy and Wally being destroyed.

And then Slappy woke up.

6: Earth Geeks Must Go![]

Earth Geeks Must Go!

Page 79 has one of my favorite cliffhangers in Goosebumps history written close to the bottom of the page. Here's the part: (originally italicized parts will be underlined)

I hear a horrible CRAAAACK, the sound of metal and glass shattering.

Then silence.

Everything goes bright red... then black.

5: I am Your Evil Twin[]

I Am Your Evil Twin (Cover)

The idea of being replaced by someone else is insane, and shouldn't exist. But it does! If something like that happened to me, I'd be very, and I mean VERY frantic. And, to add salt to the wound, there are even MORE clones of yourself out there! And, to put the cherry on the top,

They're fireproof!

4: Attack of the Graveyard Ghouls[]

Attack of the Graveyard Ghouls

Similarly to the previous story, Spencer lost his identity. Except, not just his identity. His entire body was taken over! (SPOILERS) Oswald Manse had stole his body, and had no good intentions with it. Spencer had to get through multiple bodies (a rat's, Duke's, a spider's, and Jason's) before getting to the chaos that 'he' created. Eventually, he did get a his body back. Except, it wasn't his.

It was Audra's!

3: The Curse of Camp Cold Lake[]

Just read the book, and you'll understand why it's this high on the list.
