Trick or Treat Studios 2017 Masks + Props ad

2017 ad for masks and prop

Trick or Treat Studios is a company that creates Halloween costumes, usually based on popular horror properties. They started releasing Goosebumps themed masks.

The company's first Goosebumps masks were based on Slappy the Dummy and The Haunted Mask, and these were released in late 2017. They also released a life-size Slappy ventriloquist dummy replica based on his appearance in the TV series around the same time. In late 2018, they're releasing masks based on the TV version of The Pumpkin Heads and The Haunted Mask II. However, in June 2018, Trick or Treat Studios announced that they would stop making Goosebumps masks by 2019.

Licensing and discontinuation

The masks made by Trick or Treat Studios were officially licensed by Scholastic Media. In a Facebook post made on June 29, 2018, Trick or Treat Studios announced that 2018 would be the last year in which anyone could buy their Goosebumps themed masks because they would not be renewing their deal with Scholastic Media for the next year.[1] In the comments to this post, Trick or Treat Studios revealed that Scholastic Media had forged a "direct to retail agreement only with Spirit Halloween."[2]
