Not sure if this is a regular case, but considering that the two books after have synopsises while Night Howler is still just listed as "Slappy does his scariest thing yet!" is kinda concerning on just what the heck this book is gonna be, or if even Stine knew what he was coming up with beforehand.
Stine did mention the premise at a book thing, which is mentoned on the page so at least we hacve that. There's a,so the preview featued in Diary of a dummy . Still, no offical sumamry is still odd, nothing on audible either.
Sorry for butting in the conversation but I didn't even noticed that the synopsis for TCMtNH hasn't been revealed yet... It's especially weird considering we already have the cover revealed AND the synopsis for the following book. I've been looking for a synopsis for a while now and all I could find was some interview from Stine which apparently is already quoted on the article... This is definitely unusual.
No way. Is that 100% confirmed??? If it really has Dr. Maniwack then I can seriously guarantee you I won't read that book, especially after going through the pain of reading Dr. Maniac Will See You Now.
Spongey/Stacy/Thomas, you're hilarious. Have you seen SlappyWorld's performance? So far, I'd say MOST of these books are either crap or just plain crap. If Dr. Maniac DOES appear, the Purple Rage dude will probably show up as well, bringing us more inappropriate phrases like "bite my baboon". The idea of a superhero quitting sounds just peachy keen and all, but I'm not TOO enthralled by a Dr. Maniac reappearance.
(Remember the Shake Shack scene from The Streets of Panic Park? That was epic.)
I think so. I noticed that with Earth Geeks Must Go! and Dr. Maniac Will See You Now. I remember the Earth Geeks one having a lot more deregatory remarks about the protagonists. There were a lot more expletives as well. And as for Maniac, there was a priceless comment on the way the Purple Rage speaks. Unfortunately, I can't talk about it here, since it contains some R-rated language.
If I'm lucky the book might be at Indigo in two weeks as they usually get books a week or so early. So if that's the case, I'll do what I did with Diary of a Dummy and write verbatim off the back of the book
I don't know, it's rare that something like this happens outside of something clearly marked as a sequel so it feels like something they'd remember. I also don't think she's as bad with memory as Stine is lol
