    • Well, Dr. Maniac Will See You Now had some of the most unlikeable characters in it. First of all, there is Ernie Dreezer, who actually makes Kermit look more tolerable. He is a spoiled rotten and sadistic little brat who would do everything to torment his older brother, Richard every chance he had, such as hitting and stealing from him. And whenever they were threatened, Ernie would tell their tormenter that Richard would want them to hurt him first. What's worse is that Ernie is never punished for his antics mostly because his brainless mother (who favours Ernie) views him as "adorable". They're like the Susan and Manny Heffley of Goosebumps. Speaking of which, Mrs. Dreezer and her husband Barry have spent a majority of the story constantly arguing at the drop of a hat. Talk about dysfunctional in that area and as the story progressed, Barry has made it clearly obvious that he was unhappy with how his married life had turned out for him. If he's that miserable with it, why wouldn't he just file a divorce and be done with it already? And then there's Bree Birnbaum, a love interest whose attitude sucks. How Richard was falling for her is beyond me. It was practically Fitz and Tiffany from the television series of Bone Chillers all over again.

There are a couple of characters that I would like to mention too. Mr. Saur is the kind of teacher that should have been fired by the end of Say Cheese and Die - Again! And it's never explained why Micah Brill is so abusive to his sister all the time.

    • Agreed. It's sad that the evil super villains were the more likable characters.

That is the best comparison I've seen between Goosebumps and another franchise.

      >Bree Birnbaum

She is definitely on my top 5 worst GB characters ever.

No, they really aren't. They are equally bad, possibly worse. At least, that's how it was in the first Dr. Maniac book.

    • Well in Will See You Now, everyone minus Richard who is fine is so horrible that the crazy super villains stand as at least more understandable. Their shtick got old in this one but I'll take them over the parents and Ernie any day.

Which other four characters do you consider to be the worst in Goosebumps?

    • I guess Kermit and Andy from the original Monster Blood books, Bradley from Monster Blood for Breakfast, and pretty much the whole You Can't Scare Me "cast". Right now I can't remember any other characters that could be worse than these. However, if I remember any more, I'll change this list.

I hated Kermit even more than Tara. I always lump the two of them together as horribly annoying younger siblings/cousins, but at least Tara got punished. That’s the first time I’ve seen someone hate Andy though.

I'm not sure if disappearing forever without being able to do anything about it was a fair punishment. I guess two weeks without TV could do it?

She is really annoying, and she is basically the reason why the third MB book happened.

    • Well, Evan did agree to use the monster blood, but Kermit’s such a nightmare that I don’t blame him. She was mostly the reason the second book happened though.
