(I now have a copy of The Incredible Shrinkman, and I found info that suggests that it may have been the unpublished Series 2000 book.)
(Actually, I can't figure out if this book is from 2000 or 2001. The copyright page says 2000)

Revision as of 00:10, June 19, 2017

The Incredible Shrinking Fifth Grader was going to be the twenty-sixth book in the Goosebumps Series 2000 book series. It was never released, due to R.L. Stine's contract with Scholastic expiring. The plot to the book is unknown.

Cover art

Tim Jacobus, the cover artist for Goosebumps Series 2000, said he did indeed create cover art for the book. Jacobus says the illustration featured a tiny sized kid holding a pencil, warding off a white rat on a desk in a classroom. According to Jacobus, the artwork was finished. However, Scholastic called Jacbous and told him not to turn it in. They also said it would be his last Goosebumps cover.[1]

On March 9th, 2017, the image was finally revealed, as Jacobus sent one of our admins an image of the original artwork.[2]
