They are Jonathan's parents. They argue a lot about their son, as Mrs. Chiller believes he is too smart to go to school like the other children, while her husband says leaving him alone in his room is turning him into a cowardly kid who ought to become more "manly". |

The 12-year-old protagonist and narrator of this book, Ray is also the main character from the eighteenth HorrorLand book, Slappy New Year!. He's mysteriously brought back to Chiller's gift shop, along with the other kids from previous books. |
