A question about the film appearance

How could the clock have been in the film before its manuscript was opened? Was it actually in the film, or is that just a similar clock? GoosebumpsArt (talk) 21:25, April 13, 2017 (UTC)

But the Cuckoo Clock was in the Monster Survival Guide. NicktheDummy (talk) 02:55, April 14, 2017 (UTC)NicktheDummy

But how does that make sense? The clock was never released. Also, the Survival Guide wasn't written by the same person who wrote the film, so it is only half-reliable. GoosebumpsArt (talk) 02:59, April 14, 2017 (UTC)

Well, the only other possibility is only speculation, especially since a lot of fans think it is (myself included), but if it isn't, I'm 100℅ sure that it was a reference. NicktheDummy (talk) 03:27, April 14, 2017 (UTC)NicktheDummy

For me, the Cuckoo Clock was released from its manuscript by Stine just to serve as an ornament in his basement. In the book, the Clock send you to the past ONLY if you manipulate the crow (which Zach did not do thanks to God). Surely Stine released it knowing that no one would enter his basement, plus the Clock would be harmless at all times. ErnestoCabral2016 (talk) 04:08, April 14, 2017 (UTC)
