Poppy Foreman is a character who appears in the Special Edition book of the Goosebumps SlappyWorld series, Slappy, Beware! She is a previous owner of Slappy.
History[]
Ten year old Poppy Foreman is always jealous of her brother Reggie who always seems to be successful at anything he does. She always tries to copy whatever he's into. This includes playing the banjo at the school talent show because Reggie used to. However, her string breaks during her performance, causing her to lose. Unfortunately for Poppy, Reggie wins the talent show after performing with his dummy, Junior. Jealous, Poppy wants a dummy of her own. Her father gets her a Mister Wood dummy for Christmas. Poppy's excited, but soon, strange things begin to happen. While performing with Mister Wood for her family, he hurls insults at them. But she thinks it must be Reggie playing tricks with his ventriloquism.
More strange occurrences happen, including Reggie's new sweater being cut to pieces, and Junior being dismantled with Mister Wood holding his eyeballs. Despite Poppy's claims of not being the one doing any of this, Mr. Foreman takes the Mister Wood dummy back to the store. However, he soon learns that this Mister Wood dummy isn't the same as the others. The dummy reveals himself to be Slappy, who then awakens the other dummies to attack Mr. Foreman and the shopkeeper.
