Parsons Lake, more commonly known as Poison Lake, is the main setting of Weekend at Poison Lake, the eighth and final Give Yourself Goosebumps: Special Edition book as well as the "Valentine's at Poison Lake" event in Goosebumps HorrorTown.
History[]
Weekend at Poison Lake[]
Parsons Lake is the centerpiece of Parsons Village and is feared by everyone as it is rumored that it is filled with poison, earning it the nickname Poison Lake.
Story A[]
The reader visits Parsons Village with their friends, Nathan and Tamika. The reader begins to swim in the lake as a local tells them that the lake is filled with poison. They leave the lake and while it isn't filled with poison, it is filled with a mysterious substance that attracts animals.
Story B[]
After moving in with their family to an inherited cabin near the lake, the reader is told not to swim in the lake but they are dared by their brother, Benjie to swim in the lake, which the reader does. After swimming the lake, the reader notices that they are now bright green and is contacted by aliens who tell them that they will give the reader the antidote to the poison in the lake (caused by a radioactive rock planted by the aliens inside the lake) as long as the reader gives the aliens the recipe to a flavor of ice cream.
Story C[]
After arriving in Parsons Village for a two-week vacation, the reader is told by an elderly neighbor that the rumors of the lake being poison are false and what really happened is that The Bittermans witnessed a jewel robbery where the thieves hid the jewels at the bottom of Parsons Lake and they made up the story of the lake being poison so that they could have the jewels for themselves.
Story D[]
The reader is walking their dog, Harley near poison lake when a strange elderly man walks up to them and encourages them to enter the lake. The reader declines and the strange man transforms into a creature who attempts to force the reader into the lake.

- In all storylines, the lake is rumored to be filled with poison and although it does have strange effects on the reader in Story A, the lake is only really poisonous in Story B.
