Nora Parker is a main character in Goosebumps. She is portrayed by Rachael Harris. A younger version of the character is played by Taylar Hender.

History

As a teen, Nora, Eliza Etten, Victoria Chen-Lopez, Sarah Stokes, and Ben Howard befriended Harold Biddle, who had just moved to Port Lawrence with his parents. Sarah in particular was very close with him. However their relationships were strained when Harold found Slappy the Dummy in his basement and began taking him to school. This reached a head when, during a performance, Slappy insulted them using things that they'd shared with Sarah in confidence. Harold said it they were really secrets, Sarah shouldn't have told him. Nora, who had told the others that she'd seen the dummy moving on its own, said the dummy was clearly evil and influencing Harold. They decided to try to save him by taking the dummy. They broke into his house and Ben found Slappy and put him in the case. Then Sarah said they needed to save Harold. They tried to get him to accept their help, but he fell down his basement stairs, starting a fire and forcing the other teens to flee. Once they were outside, they decided that since Harold was already dead, there was no reason for them to say anything and they agreed never to speak about that night again. When Slappy popped out of the case, Ben broke him into pieces. Then they decided to bury it in Eliza's father's mine.

When Nora's son, Lucas Parker, rode his skateboard off the roof of her restaurant and busted his mouth, Nora quickly stepped in to take care of him. Later that week, at the football game, Nora saw Harold Biddle and realized he was back to take revenge on those who had harmed him by attacking their children. After Isaiah Howard was injured, she went to the hospital to tell Ben Howard about this.

Nora was working when Colin Stokes came in and told her Lucas had broken a classmate's drone. He promised to talk to her parents to work something out, knowing Nora couldn't pay for it.

Nora was getting ready to close up for the day when Nathan Bratt came in to get a sandwich. She learned he was living in the Biddle house and asked if he'd noticed anything strange there. He said no, but he'd heard the story and found it sad how quickly people forgot about Harold. Nora said that wasn't true.

Nora went to Isaiah's house, but Ben stopped her from talking to him, so she handed a photo of Harold to Margot and asked her to ask Isaiah if he recognized him.

Nora then met with Ben, Eliza, and Victoria. None of them believed her claim that Harold was back and attacking their children and implied that she could lose custody of Lucas if she talked about it.

When Isaiah, Isabella, and Margot came to the Harbor Stop asking Nora about Harold Biddle, she refused to tell them and said if they really wanted to know, Margot needed to call her mother.

Nora and Stokes woke up after an unplanned sleepover. He lamented having to keep their relationship a secret. Nora was the one to call it what it was: an affair. Stokes drove Nora home before going to work. Lucas witnessed this and asked Nora what she was doing that morning. Nora, unaware that he already knew, lied and said she came in early to make pies.

When Margot came to the Harbor Stop to talk to her, Nora thought it was about the affair, as Stokes had told her that Margot and Lucas knew, but Margot said it was about Lucas, who was about to attempt the "Booms of Doom," the stunt that killed his father. They went to where Lucas was and Nora told Lucas that his father didn't attempt it because he thought he could do it, but because he knew he couldn't and wanted to die. He'd left a suicide note. Nora never told Lucas because he idolized his father and she didn't want to ruin that for him. Lucas then threw up all the worms in his body, but they formed a worm monster. It chased him to the sawmill, where Nora and Margot were able to turn on the chipper to destroy it. Lucas and Margot left and Nora stayed and waited for the police. She told Mike Hodgson the truth, but he didn't believe her and took her to a psychiatric facility.

When Sarah came to visit her, Nora told Sarah she was just trying to protect the kids by telling the truth. Sarah visited Nora again later and told her she believed her. In order to get out of the hospital, she had to stop taking the medication and stop acting crazy. After Sarah left, Nora pretended to take her pills, but spit them out.
