Nila Rahmad is the main antagonist from the twenty-third Goosebumps book, Return of the Mummy, and its television adaptation.

History[]

Return of the Mummy[]

Nila is Prince Khor-Ru's thousand-year-old sister posing as a reporter (or a journalist in the television version) and had a necklace which is an amber pendant identical to Gabe's pendant (except it lacks the scarab). She was living for 4,000 years thanks to her pendant. Her goal was to reanimate her mummified brother to reign with him again; unfortunately for her, Khor-Ru wants to rest in peace, so he tried to choke her to death when she awakened him. In a scuffle, Gabe shatters her pendant, causing her to revert to a scarab and she crawls away. She also may or may not have killed Gabe by biting him.

TV Series[]

Nila appeared in the television adaption of the book, portrayed by Afrah Gouda. Although her role remains the same, one notable difference is that she is defeated when Prince Khor-Ru shatters Nila's pendant.

Goosebumps (film)[]

Nila is among the many monsters released and led by Slappy the Dummy, she is briefly seen during the massive book burning near Madison High's football field before attacking the school along with the other monsters. She later chases everyone into the gym along with the rest of the monsters and although her fate is unknown, it can by assumed that she was sucked back into the newly created Goosebumps manuscript written by Zach Cooper.

Goosebumps HorrorTown[]

After Nila loses her scarab, both Dustin Williams and Lucy Del Rio discover it and they would later encounter Nila, who was searching for it. After realizing that Dustin had the scarab in his possession, Nila would attack the two though they would manage to successfully flee from her.

Trivia[]
