The Muglani is a tribe of witch doctors that appears in the eleventh Give Yourself Goosebumps book, Deep in the Jungle of Doom.

Deep in the Jungle of Doom[]
The Muglani are a tribe of misanthropic witch doctors who reside in the Amazon Rainforest. They often seek to decapitate other humans, later shrinking their heads after that they will put them in their collection of Shrunken Heads, or turn their victims into animals or monsters.
They are seen in three bad endings:
- The reader and Ben are captured by the Muglani, who plan to decapitate both of them and add their heads to their Shrunken Head collection.
- The first bad ending has the Muglani turning the reader and Ben into monkeys.
- The second consists of the reader using a vine to cross a river bank to escape the Muglani but ends up grabbing a boa snake instead which wraps around the reader squeezing the reader to death.
Goosebumps (film)[]
A Muglani Witch Doctor is among the many monsters released.and led by Slappy the Dummy. He sports the Shrunken Head on his staff, and he is present during during the massive book burning near Madison High's football feild before attacking the school along with the other monsters. He later chases everyone into the gym along with the other monsters, and he is last seen approaching the ferris wheel that Zach, Hannah, and Champ are on just before being sucked back into the newly written Goosebumps manuscript.
Goosebumps HorrorTown[]
A civilized and well-dressed version of the Muglani appears in Goosebumps HorrorTown. He is mentioned as being the person who cursed Amaz-O and later appears on-screen giving Jordan a shrunken head, saying that it is a gift from Jordan's aunt. After Jordan experiences odd things happening with the Shrunken Head, he goes home only to encounter the Muglani who tells Jordan that his Aunt has invited him to her studio in a swamp. After arriving in the swamp, the Muglani explains that Jordan's aunt is missing and that he had brought Jordan to the swamp as the Muglan believed that he had the ability of Jungle Magic. The Muglani teaches Jordan about the jungle magic and while looking through the Muglani's notes, Jordan realizes that the Muglani will shrink his head Jordan escapes. After being defeated by Jordan, the Muglani tries to kidnap Jordan's sister Cynthia, however she reveals herself to be a robot, the Muglani decides to look for other prey with Magical potential and he comes across Marty, who insults him making the Muglani not choose him. The Muglani would later be present during Count Nightwing's arrival to HorrorTown.
Trivia[]
- The Muglani's attire in Goosebumps HorrorTown of a top hat, coat and skull face paint is a reference to Baron Samedi.
- In the game, one Muglani is seen during the How I Got My Shrunken Head questline, taking a similar role to Dr. Richard Hawlings.
