Lucas Parker is a main character in Goosebumps. He is portrayed by Will Price.
History[]
Lucas was born to Nora Parker and Dennis Parker presumably during 2006-2007 making him 15 or 16 years old. Before his passing him and his father seem to have a close relationship, his father's shed being decorated with pictures of him and Lucas. Lucas gets his daredevil personality from his father.[1]
Lucas decided to ride his skateboard off the roof, which resulted in him busting his mouth. His mother, Nora, immediately came to tend to him.
At school, Lucas attended a pep rally, where he spoke to Margot Stokes, to her surprise. That night, at a party, Lucas spoke to her again. Then he asked if Isaiah Howard wanted to watch him eat one of the worms he'd found in the kitchen. Isaiah said yes, but then the party was broken up by the owner coming home and threatening to call the police.
Lucas attended that week's football game with his mother and they watched as Isaiah's arm was broken in a tackle.[2]
Lucas saw a drone on the side of the football field and decided to get up on the roof and attempt to grab it while it flew above him. He was able to do so, but in the process, broke the drone. He had to meet with Colin Stokes and Isabella Chen-Lopez, the owner of the drone. He said he could give her $5/week until it was paid off. She blew up at hime, saying he would never be able to pay it off flipping burgers, which is what he was destined to do because he was pathetic. She also insulted Stokes, calling him weak. Then she backtracked, apologizing and telling Lucas his repayment was fine.
Lucas was skateboarding outside the Harbor Stop when Isabella approached him, wearing a mask. She attacked him and turned into a troll. Lucas was saved when Isaiah and Margot defended him.[3]
Lucas tried to complete the "Booms of Doom," the stunt his father had died attempting, but backed out at the last second. When he got home, he ended up seeing Colin Stokes kissing Nora as he dropped her off. He recorded a video of them doing this. He asked Nora what she was doing that morning, but she lied to him, unaware that he knew the truth. Lucas went to school and told Margot he had something to show her. He took her back to his bedroom and played the video for her. He then pulled a worm out of his terrarium and asked if she wanted to see him eat it. As he held it up, it crawled up his nose. He gagged briefly, but then said he was okay. But that night, while he was sleeping, the rest of the worms crawled out of the tank and into his body.
The next morning, he realized he didn't like the taste of his normal breakfast burrito and instead ate trash. Then he went to school, where he got knocked down some stairs and realized he couldn't feel pain anymore. He decided to ride his dirt bike off the roof of the school onto Stokes' car. When he landed, Stokes said he'd have to recommend the principal expel Lucas and Lucas said he recommended that Stokes stop banging his mom. Margot confronted him about it and he told her he couldn't feel pain. Then he excused himself to do the "Booms of Doom."
As he prepared for the stunt, Nora and Margot pulled up. Nora told Lucas that his father didn't attempt it because he thought he could do it, but because he knew he couldn't and wanted to die. He'd left a suicide note. Nora never told Lucas because he idolized his father and she didn't want to ruin that for him. Lucas then threw up all the worms in his body, but they formed a worm monster. It chased him to the sawmill, where Nora and Margot were able to turn on the chipper to destroy it. When Isaiah, Isabella, and James arrived, Lucas and Margot left and Nora stayed and waited for the police.[1]
With his mom in the hospital, Lucas went home with Stokes and Margot. Soon after they got there, Sarah arrived, but she refused to tell them anything, saying she had some things to do first. Margot and Lucas went to James's house to meet with the others and on the way, Lucas took Margot by a playground where he'd broken some bones in his head and told her that everything would heal. He also expressed affection for her, leading her to lean in and kiss him. When they got to James's house, Margo told them her mother hadn't told them anything.
They met again when Bratt gave Margot a scrapbook, which she discovered allowed her to see into the past to when their parents were in high school. They felt it was too dangerous to keep using, but Margot insisted, wanting to get answers. When Margot got stuck in the memory, they wheeled her body to the Biddle house, where another memory took place, and entered the memory themselves. They saved Margot from burning up in the fire and then watched as their parents walked out of the flames, carrying a case. They realized they were watching their parents kill someone, but Margot and Isaiah believed there had to be more to the story. They wanted to know what was inside the case and Bratt invited to tell them if they came inside his house.[4]
The teens came in and listened to Bratt tell the story of Slappy the Dummy and Ephraim Bratt, leading up to the death of Ephraim's great-grandson, Harold Biddle. Based on his telling, they believed their parents had actually tried to help Harold and were his friends, but Bratt insisted they were murderers who had bullied Harold. They asked him how he knew all this and he told them the twist was that he isn't Bratt, but Harold. He scared the by turning into Harold right in front of them.[5]
