Isis is a character from the third book in the Goosebumps House of Shivers book series, Night of the Living Mummy. She is the mother of King Raman and his younger siblings Omari and Akila.
History[]
In ancient Egypt, Isis was the mother of Raman, the then new king of ancient Egypt, who was forced to reign after the passing of his father Tutanak. She tries to encourage her son as he constantly has his doubts that he can be the new ruler. One day, while Raman is having breakfast, he is killed by a snake. Isis sends for Vathor, a powerful wizard, to help revive Raman, but it doesn't immediately happen. She has her son mummified. She soon discovers that the powerful amulet that Raman was tasked to protect had been stolen by Vathor, who went to the future. Raman awakens and learns about the theft. He returns to his rest, waiting for the day he can be awakened.
Raman is later awakened in the present where he meets a boy named Happy Silverman. The two discover that Vathor has secretly as Happy's teacher Mr. Horvat. As they try to get back the amulet, they're sent back to ancient Egypt where Vathor is about to destroy them. However, Isis manages to get back the amulet and chants a spell that turns Vathor into a snake. She tries to step on him, but he escapes into the night, never to be seen again. Happy asks to be returned home, but she is unable to send him back. However, when he wishes on the amulet, it sends him back to present time.

Isis is a particularly kind woman. She cares for her children and constantly tried to encourage Raman as he adjusted to his role as the new king. She also discourages her younger son Omari when he wants to be king instead. She also appears to understand some of the magical abilities of the amulet as she can possess the amulet and use it to transform Vathor into a snake, yet is unable to send Happy home.
