Ira Glassman is the main antagonist of the fifteenth book in the Goosebumps SlappyWorld book series, Judy and the Beast.
History[]
Ira lives in Sulphur Falls, Wyoming with his father, Noah and his sister Judy. Ever since he turned thirteen, he and his father would head atop Black Rock to the mansion of the Grendel family. Judy would have to stay home each year, but eventually managed to stowaway in their truck and head up to the mansion with them. This annoys Ira in particular as he feels this is supposed to be time spent with just him and his father. He also continues to be very secretive towards Judy, especially when she learns of a supposed beast that resides atop Black Rock.
As Judy explores the mansion, she meets Baker Grendel, the owner of the mansion. At first, Judy suspects that Baker is the beast she was told about. And every attempt to get answers from Ira just leads to him being more frustrated with her. Judy ends up encountering the beast and manages to survive, while also discovering two other boys around Ira's age who seem to be acting strange. Eventually Judy learns the truth. Ever since Ira turned thirteen, he began to show signs of a "beast disease" which turns him into a dangerous beast. The trips to the mansion were for his yearly treatments. The other two teens also suffer from the disease. Judy soon discovers that she's starting to grow fur as well.

Ira Glassman is generally mild mannered. In his spare time he makes models of monsters. However, he is also quick to anger and annoyance, especially whenever Judy tries to get answers as to what's going on.
In beast form, he's more animalistic and dangerous, but can be subdued by whistling noises.

Ira's beast form sports a human face, black shaggy fur, and bear-like claws.
