|
A kind mask shop owner. He keeps good care of his stock but gets a rude awakening when his bitter brother gives him an evil mask. After dying, his ghost haunts Polly's attics and tries to warn the kids about the mask. |
| Randolph
|
William's younger brother. They did net get along as kids, as Randolph was a criminal. He visits William with monsterous masks he has created. When William rejects them, he forces William to wear one, getting it stuck to him. |
| The Unwanted
|
A group of disgusting monstrous masks created by Randolph that are actually faces. No one wants them because they are so gross but Randolph forces William to wear an especially evil one. |
| Lu-Ann Franklin
|
The protagonist and narrator of the first part of the book. She wants a scary mask to have fun with at Polly Martin's Halloween party but gets more than she bargined for when she discovers The Haunted Mask. |
| Devin O'Bannon
|
Lu-Ann's best friend and narrator of the second part of the book. He is forced to spend Halloween with his family on a pumpkin farm they recently bought and notices that strange things are happening with the pumpkins. |

|
A girl that Lu-Ann does not like due to throwing lame parties and being overly serious. |

|
Lu-Ann's more serious little brother. She likes to tell scary stories to him. He and Lu-Ann still generally get along well. |

A man whose car has broken down. He asks Lu-Ann to keep an eye on it while he calls for help but the mask forces her to rip the tires off. |

An evil looking cat that is suspected to be The Grave Master. |

|
The housekeeper who came with the farm. She is very friendly with a round body that makes her look like a pumpkin. It turns out she is the legendary Grave Master who wants to drag Devin to the grave to be Haywood's friend. |

|
Devin's parents. Allan is between jobs and got that pumpkin farm to earn some money. |
