Goosebumps Presents is a series of Goosebumps books based on the Goosebumps TV series. The books are novelizations of the TV episodes and feature color photos from the episodes. The series ran for two years from 1996 to 1998, with one book being unpublished.

Despite R.L. Stine's name being on the covers, they were all ghost-written by various authors.

Unpublished book

A Presents book for "The Blob That Ate Everyone" was advertised on the back cover of the "Revenge of the Lawn Gnomes" book as the next book in the series. However, it was never published, and the series stopped receiving new entries.

Covers

The first five books in the series used a cover template similar to the one used for the original series. A new cover template was used starting with book six, which consists of a still image from the respestive TV episode with a colored background featuring art commonly used with the Goosebumps brand at the time. This was the last series to feature bumps on the Goosebumps logo.

Authors

  • Megan Stine (The Girl Who Cried Monster, Welcome to Camp Nightmare, Let's Get Invisible!)
  • Carol Ellis (The Cuckoo Clock of Doom, Night of the Living Dummy II, The Headless Ghost, Bad Hare Day, Ghost Beach, Attack of the Jack-O'-Lanterns)
  • Francine Hughes (Return of the Mummy)
  • Diane Umansky (My Hairiest Adventure)
  • Jane E. Gerver (Be Careful What You Wish For...)
  • Tracey West (Go Eat Worms!)
  • Melinda Metz (Attack of the Mutant)
  • Teddy Margulies (You Can't Scare Me!, Revenge of the Lawn Gnomes)
  • Elizabeth Winfrey (Monster Blood)
  • Carla Jablonski (Calling All Creeps!)

Trvia

  • Melinda Metz also wrote Horror Hotel Part 2 for the Ghosts of the Fear Street series, and Elizabeth Winfrey wrote Tale of the Blue Monkey. She also wrote an entry in the Bone Chillers series.
  • You Can't Scare Me is the only entry to not mention the protagonist's last name on the back.
  • The copyright page for Let's Get Invisible says it was written by Diane Unmansky, while the page before it says it was written by Megan Stine. Since that page also claims the episode was written by Charles Laser, when it was actually Rick Drew, it's likely Diane is the correct author.
