The Futuristic Robots are major antagonists of the second Give Yourself Goosebumps book, Tick Tock, You’re Dead!
If the reader decides to time travel into the far future, they will find out that these robots have taken over the world, and any human who wanders onto the streets are punished by either going to an impossibly difficult school or being stuck as an exhibit in robot zoos. Inside the school, any student who gets a test question wrong will be frammilized - being forced to go in a steel box and disintegrate into green light.
If the reader decides to go to the past from the far future, they will end up at the moment where the war between humans and robots started - and the reader is tasked to take a bomb to the robot’s power building to deactivate them before they take over the world by destroying the power core.
