You know mine, that I don’t hate Evan and Sarah. I swear, it seems the fandom blames them for global warming, world hunger, cancer and Hitler’s birth. For example, are there books or characters that most people hate/love that you don’t?

Lol, guess I can’t deny that. But the Goosebumps fandom is also fixated on hating them. And since Goosebumps is already an extremely small fandom, and the vocal people who don’t hate Evan and Sarah are even smaller, I’m not too inclined to take it easy. Still, I guess you’re right and I should take a break from these two. Just reading the stuff about them on YMMV makes me angry.
1. I didn't really care for Egg Monsters From Mars, which seems like a really popular entry in the series. Like 5 different people asked me to cover it.
2. Add me to the list of My Hairiest Adventure fans.
3. I cringe every time Stine describes a character as "chubby."
Sarah
Sarah Maas from The Curse of Camp Cold Lake.
> I assume all those people asked you to cover it thinking you'd tear it apart. That or you found the Egg monsters cult.
lol, I may have a been a little overly careful with it because I knew it has its fans. I was nice-mean.
"For some reason, a lot of you guys wanted me to cover Egg Monsters From Mars. Well, here you go. Maybe it’s a favorite? I’d like to hear what you guys like about this book, because I had some major issues with it. Maybe you all like the cover. I have to admit, this book does have an awesome cover. Or, as I suspect, maybe you guys know this book is terrible and want to torture me.
What kills me about this book is that it has the makings of a good Goosebumps entry. It has one of the more fleshed-out protagonists I’ve encountered. It has a very real threat for kids in its antagonist. It even has some suspense and intrigue. I was legitimately invested in the plot. The problem is it drags us along and doesn’t go anywhere, and then it just ends in a random and absurd manner. Unfortunately, this book was not as egg-celent as I had hoped it’d be."
I thought I was more or less alone in liking that one fine. I actually like the idea of a human being the villain so that aspect carried it for me, but the ending ruins it, plus other things could have been done much better.
That is quite unreleated to this topic, might wanna make a new one. Also, welcome to camp nightmare.

It seemed like Stine couldn't decide between threats, and that was the problem. How I Got My Shrunken Head had a human threat as well, but I think it was executed better because Stine committed. That was my problem with it. The human threat was scary, and I found it intriguing. Stine should have just committed and gone farther. He may have been worried about going too far with child abduction, though. It can get real inappropriate real quick and this is a children's series.

Me, too. It was my first Goosebumps book ever, and as I started to read the other books (I was 6), I started to hate MHA. However, I reread it a couple years ago, and I realized just how good it is. It is not one of my favorites, but definitely not a bad book.

Lol why?
>I didn't really care for Egg Monsters From Mars
It's actually a top 5 GB book for me. I've seen a loooot of people who hate that book, though.
