History[]
Billy Arnold and his twin sister Betty visit their Uncle Wendell's mansion in the Wayward Forest while their parents visit London. They soon meet their Uncle Wendell and his assistant Jesse, who are searching for the world's scariest book, a tome so powerful that if it were to wind up in the wrong hands, it could bring about unspeakable evil. Eventually, while searching for the book, they soon discover another man claiming to be Uncle Wendell, and that the man who they've been with isn't the real Uncle Wendell, but a man named The Bookworm, who seeks to capture the book and destroy it.
The Bookworm and Jesse lock Billy, Betty and Uncle Wendell in Wendell's vault, but they manage to escape. However, they soon run into the real Uncle Wendell, and learn that the second was another villain named The Collector. They manage to find the Collector who has the book in his possession, but Billy sneezes, which causes a flying bear to attack the Collector. When Billy and Betty return home, Wendell gives them the world's scariest book, which he trusts them with protecting, but Billy wants to take a look inside.

Billy is written to not be as brave as his sister Betty, which is something she often brags about. He also has severe allergies that cause him to sneeze constantly.
