Stine]] that was later incorporated into the [[Goosebumps (television series) | Goosebumps TV series.]] It features a child who starts a science project revolving around ants, and the company he purchases from is called Awesome Ants. Not satisfied with regular ant food, he resorts to feeding them other things like hot dogs or worms and this eventually backfires on him. The ants grow to incredible proportions and one of them drags him off. The next thing he knew, he woke up in a world where the roles have switched, where ants are the dominant species and humans are miniature insects.

When the ants don't do anything, his friend convinces him to feed them other stuff. The ants suddenly grow faster and larger, which he thinks will get him a good grade on his next assignment for science teacher Mr. Lantz. One morning, he finds the ant farm empty, goes to school, and finds an ant larger than him in the science room. The ant knocks him out, and he wakes to find himself and his teacher trapped in the ant farm with the ants watching them from outside. Lantz then tells them that they better get started building tunnels and rooms and tells him it will be a great learning experience.

"Awesome Ants" was the sixth short story that appeared in the book Still More Tales to Give You Goosebumps.

Plot

Dave gets a package in the mail, which is an ant farm he ordered weeks ago, but the one he gets is bigger than a pool table. The letter with the package says that the company wants him to test their new jumbo size and states to feed the ants give blue vitamin capsules every day and nothing else.
