Differences from the story[]

  • The boys were only given prune cookies once instead of being fed prunes for days.
  • In the book, Aunt Dahlia was a witch pretending to be related to children, but in the episode, she is actually Tom and Jon's aunt they have met before.
  • In the story, Tom and Jon become young again after finding Anti-Wrinkle Cream. In the episode, it is baby food that makes them younger again.
  • After Tom and Jon are turned back to normal, Jon goes overboard with eating the baby food and turns into a baby. Tom tries to feed him a prune cookie to make him the right age again. But the episode ends before anything happens. In the original story, the end twist is Tom discovering his friend Becca has been given prune cookies from her aunt Susan, implying it is Dahlia about to pull the same thing on Becca.
  • In the story, the parents appear at the end, as they figure out that Dahlia isn't related to them. In the episode, they do not appear and the episode's final scene has Tom talking to them on the phone.
