Compared to the original novel Bride of the Living Dummy, the TV version's adaptation of the ending of this episode is simply terrible.

The heroine Jillian in the novel suspects that her sisters are possessed by Slappy, but it turns out that the possessed person is herself. This ending is wonderful and unexpected. But in the TV series version, the character is possessed is Jillian’s male classmate Harrison, there is no surprise at all.

Dude, this book was REALLY strange. I don't know what to say about it, I finished this book a while ago but comprehending this book takes a while. So that's why I'm gonna rant about it. I enjoyed this book but it was odd, even compared to R. L. Stine's weirder works like "A Shocker on Shock Street" this was crazy. First off this was way more science fiction than horror (Which happens occasionally for Goosebumps.) Second, this book's story is so WEIRD it doesn't have much of the tropes for Goosebumps. Third, the Class of 1947 is still one of the scariest Goosebumps quote-on-quote villains. (Not because there scary (which they are) but because of how strange and uncanny they felt.) Final thoughts, this book is really odd but I do seriously believe it could become a classic book because I have never read something like it. (There are books similar to it but never children's books I feel.)

David Schwimmer will be starring in the upcoming second season of Goosebumps on Disney+ and Hulu.

After the Disney+ and Hulu revival of Goosebumps was renewed for Season 2, it was revealed that the second season would introduce an all-new cast of characters with a different plot. Per Deadline, it's now been revealed that Friends star David Schwimmer will be leading the cast. Schwimmer will be playing the role of Anthony, a "former botany professor and a divorced parent of teenage twins whose world takes a tumultuous turn as he juggles the responsibilities of overseeing an aging parent while having his kids for the summer."
