Lantern ending. You do not die. You get stuck as a lantern, watching the world pass by. You can't do anything about it...
Yeah, getting stuck in an eternal Fate Worse Than Death is one of the worst fates you could have in a story
Honestly, depends on the ending and how you perceive it.
EX: T.I.B.W.H/ Turn into Werewolf
EX: S.B.T.Y/ Get Wolf but it bites hand off
I like Wolves/ Werewolves so I would be fine with these endings.
I haven’t read enough of the GYG books to give a solid answer, but the one where you are about to end up in a sewer grinder in the purple peanut butter book is brutal.
